About Deborah
Bouziden began writing and publishing
magazine articles in 1985. She has published hundreds of articles,
which have appeared in numerous magazines such as Writer's Digest,
Woman's Day, The Writer, Personal Journaling, Byline, Lady's Circle,
ParentLife, OKC Business, and many others.
In 1995, with a team of eight other writers, Bouziden worked with Oklahoma's former First Lady, Cathy Keating, on the New York Times Bestseller "In Their Name," a book about the Oklahoma City bombing. In 2000 and 2001, Bouziden saw the release of four of her books, "The Journal Wheel and Guidebook," a tool for those who journal, "Yankee Surrender," a fiction work about the Civil War, "How-to Get Free Books (and Maybe Even Paid) as a Book Reviewer," and "How to Be a Handwriting Analyst." In 2002, her mystery short story titled, 'The Grave Hunter' was published in the short story anthology, "Almostly Murder…with Pets". In 2005, "Inspiring Creativity" was released. It is a book where creativity coaches wrote articles for aspiring artists. Bouziden contributed a chapter titled "Mining Creative Gold". In December 2008, Bouziden contributed "Grandfather Knows" for another anthology titled "Remindful Murder". She has written or contributed to several books on a contract basis. "Exploring Oklahoma Together" for Inprint Publishing was published in 1997. She contributed stories to seven editions (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010) of "Writer's Digest Novel and Short Story Writer's Market" book and in March 2009, Globe Pequot released its Seventh Edition of "Oklahoma, Off the Beaten Path," a tour guidebook Bouziden has worked on for three editions. "Devoted to Trucking", Bouziden's second book for 2009 was released in May 2009 and in December 2009, her book, "Insider's Guide to Oklahoma City", another tour guide book for Globe will be released. Bouziden has spoken and held writing workshops throughout the southwest for the Taos Institute of Art, Southwest Writers, National Association of Women Writers, Oklahoma Writers' Federation, and others. She has served as Secretary, Vice President, Conference Coordinator (twice), and President of the Oklahoma Writers' Federation, a writer's organization 600 strong and growing. She served as consultant to the Professionalism in Writing organization for two years and is CEO of Creative Ambitions, a company dedicated to helping adults and children discover their creative selves through the Arts. |
